Tray Arts UNVEILED: Masquerade Gala

Last weekend we had the pleasure of covering Tray Arts Unveiled: Masquerade Gala. An event about art, sex and relationships. Right up my alley. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed were the semi-nude body painted models serving the guests hors d'oeuvres. There was r&b playing, the lights were low. Candles were burning on the tables where guests would be having their sit down dinner. There were art pieces all over the room. Everyone was in black and red attire. One step into the event and you immediately know what the theme was. The art was amazing. Pieces from various artists in the city. There were live painting sessions. If you missed the presence of art and the theme of sex and love you had no business being there.

I got the chance to talk with Tray Arts to get into his mind a little bit to see what his inspiration behind this event was. Of course Tray is an artist first (Check our previous post showcasing his work), but I wanted to know why sex and relationships. Tray says that friends come to him many times for advise on relationships so he decided to bring it to the forefront. That is something I immediately identified with. I love to discuss the dynamics of relationships in the modern age. Tray and I chopped it up for a bit, as he was busy being the man of the hour, and I got a chance to begin to understand this talented individual. There will be video of the interview posted soon. Here are some pics from the even taken by our amazing photog Cammy - Tdot Pics.
